If you are keen to learn upholstery in a less formal way, we offer week long courses to suit all levels of experience.
Each week can be booked with a particular piece of furniture in mind, or we can discuss your requirements and suggest the most appropriate furniture to bring on your course.
On this page, you see just a few examples of furniture and the possibilities of what you might learn.

Traditional drop-in upholstered dining chair given a contemporary treatment in the workshop. The old upholstery is stripped, the frame repaired and cleaned as appropriate, before building up the chair-seat using traditional or modern methods.
This type of seat can either feature springs or just a stitched stuffing to give height and comfort. This project would give a first taste of upholstery stitching techniques and the manipulation of stuffing materials.
Suitable for the more experienced student, this chaise combines an iron frame with many of the traditional techniques learnt so far.
